MIP-B56: Transfer Risk Curatorship for Moonwell Vaults (Base) to Anthias Labs

MIP-B56: Base Vault Ownership Migration

Summary

This proposal seeks approval to transfer the risk curator role for Moonwell’s Morpho vaults on Base from BlockAnalitica / B.Protocol to Anthias Labs. These changes will affect the following Base vaults: USDC, WETH, EURC, cbBTC, and mwUSDC.

This change will unify risk management under a single team already responsible for Moonwell protocol risk, reduce redundant costs, and improve operational efficiency which will result in cost savings and improved net revenue.

Background

Moonwell currently engages multiple external risk providers across different components of the protocol, including Morpho vaults. While this structure has supported protocol safety, it introduces:

  • Overlapping responsibilities across risk providers
  • Higher recurring costs
  • Increased coordination and governance overhead

Anthias Labs already serves as Moonwell’s primary risk management partner at the protocol level. However, risk curation for Morpho vaults on Base is currently handled separately by BlockAnalitica / B.Protocol, resulting in fragmented risk ownership.

Proposal

If approved, this proposal will:

  • Transfer the risk curator role for Moonwell vaults deployed on Base
    • From: BlockAnalitica / B.Protocol
    • To: Anthias Labs
  • Scope the change exclusively to Base vaults
  • Preserve all existing vault configurations unless modified through future governance proposals

The following Base vault deployments are in scope for this change:

No immediate changes to risk parameters, asset listings, or vault mechanics are included in this proposal.
