I intend to be a Moonwell delegate.

Background:

Hey all! I’m coolhorsegirl, a DeFi native and content writer/strategist across the ecosystem. I’ve been in crypto since 2013 as a trader. Once I finished my master’s degree a few years ago, I began working in DAOs. I’ve been especially focused on governance in the space.

I most recently worked at Index Coop, a metagov powerhouse (by virtue of building structured products) on Ethereum, as the Content Manager and Lead Writer. Because of Index Coop’s massive partnership network (again, by virtue of building structured products, lol), I’m massively familiar with DeFi protocols across the ecosystem.

Right now, I’m freelancing, primarily at Content Guild as an Editor and at Tally as their weekly governance newsletter writer. I’d love to help Moonwell with some partnerships over there, too.

Anyway, I’m a strong writer with a deep interest in governance. Super bullish on Moonwell, too, and would love to help build out a governance delegation programme here similar to Gitcoin’s. Please see my cv & portfolio in the comments (I can only include 2 links in this post).

Statement of Intent:

As a delegate, I’m keen to be an active participant in protocol updates and execution. I love writing, and (potentially) as weird as it sounds, proposal creation falls under that umbrella. I will actively read, consider feedback, and vote on all proposals.

Additionally, I will work with the Moonwell team to build out a delegation program to ensure active, informed governance for Moonwell. I’m happy to recruit some more governerds across DeFi to help out, too.

I think my writing superpower is putting complicated concepts into simple words. I’d like to simmer down the more complicated proposals for easy consumption so I can listen to informed feedback before voting. I’m stoked on Moonwell and stoked on governance - consider delegating to me

Vote update

MIP-X72: OEV Oracle Wrapper Update

Voted FOR. This fixes a gap in the current OEV implementation where liquidations can benefit from updated oracle prices without paying the associated fee. It makes sense to me to close that loophole and ensure the protocol captures the fees it’s supposed to, particularly since the changes don’t alter existing market risk parameters.

MIP-X71: Anthias Labs Risk Parameter Recommendations and Pause Guardian Migration

Voted FOR. Given the existing bad debt and liquidity constraints across several markets, I support continuing to reduce collateral factors rather than taking on unnecessary additional risk. The MORPHO interest rate changes also make sense given how much of the outstanding debt is already insolvent. These are measured adjustments with limited impact on existing borrowers, and I support moving the remaining pause guardian roles to F-ETH-SEC.

MIP-X73: mToken Internal Cash Accounting — Voted YES

This upgrade closes a gap in how supply caps are enforced and prevents direct token transfers from affecting market accounting. Worth noting that the existing ERC-4626 vaults aren’t covered by this upgrade, although their exposure is relatively small. Governance will also need to be careful when handling permanent losses and excess assets. Overall, a sensible improvement to the protocol’s accounting.

MIP-X74: ETH Derivative Oracle Alignment — Voted YES

I support aligning the ETH derivative oracles with the WETH OEV feed to avoid pricing inconsistencies during liquidation windows. Borrowers shouldn’t face additional collateral losses simply because their debt and collateral are being priced using different ETH/USD rounds. There is a trade-off in that some liquidations may be delayed by up to 10 seconds, but I think that’s reasonable given the issue being addressed. Good to see this resolved without changing the underlying risk parameters.

MIP-X75: Anthias Labs Risk Parameter Recommendations

Voted FOR. I support the continued reduction of collateral factors across these markets, particularly given the importance of limiting the protocol’s exposure to assets with higher volatility or liquidity risks. The fixed oracle prices for MAMO and VELO aren’t ideal as a long-term solution, but seem reasonable given the feed deprecations and the removal of these assets as viable collateral. Worth continuing to monitor any remaining borrow exposure.

MIP-X76: Automated Liquidity Incentive Proposal

Voted FOR. I support the proposed allocations and the continued shift toward directing incentives to markets where they’re likely to be more useful. Removing the remaining incentives on Optimism makes sense given the current approach to emissions, though I think it’s worth continuing to assess whether the allocations on Base and Ethereum are actually translating into sustainable liquidity rather than just incentivized activity. Will see on this.
