Background:

Gm! I am Chidi, a finance professional bridging traditional capital markets with frontier blockchain technologies. My career has been defined by creating value at the intersection of law, finance, governance, and emerging technologies.

Currently, I am part of the legal team at United Capital Plc, Sub-Saharan Africa’s leading investment banking firm, where I provide strategic guidance across Investment Banking, Asset Management, and Securities Services. I work on multi-million-dollar capital markets deals and cross-border transactions, giving me deep insight into institutional finance mechanisms that could benefit DeFi protocols.

Statement of Intent:
As a delegate focused on Third-Party Opportunities & Research, I will:

Scout Strategic Opportunities: Actively monitor governance forums across DeFi ecosystems for grant opportunities and partnerships aligned with Moonwell’s expansion across the Superchain. My experience with cross-border transactions will help identify high-value collaborations.

Bridge TradFi Innovation to DeFi: Leverage my investment banking background to research and adapt institutional finance mechanisms for Moonwell’s benefit - similar to how Paradigm’s onchain auction models could enhance excess reserve management.

Produce Actionable Research: Deliver regular forum posts analyzing governance innovations from other DAOs, complete with implementation roadmaps for Moonwell. My focus will be on practical, data-driven proposals that enhance protocol efficiency and user value.

Drive Partnership Development: Use my partnership-building experience from both United Capital and DAOs to establish relationships that could benefit Moonwell through integrations, co-marketing, or shared liquidity initiatives.

I commit to maintaining active participation, providing vote rationales, and meeting all monthly requirements. My goal is to support in positioning Moonwell at the forefront of DeFi innovation by continuously identifying external opportunities that drive protocol growth and community value.

Rationale: The risk settings are conservative enough to protect the protocol and there are hard caps limiting exposure. The thin liquidity is actually why we need this market as adding MAMO to Moonwell creates more places to use it, which naturally improves liquidity. Solid guardrails with room to adjust as the market matures.

Rationale: A professionally managed USDC vault with 0% fees is pure upside for users. Anthias Labs has proven competence managing Moonwell’s risks, and the Security Council provides oversight. No costs to the DAO, expands product offerings, and uses Morpho infrastructure. Straightforward win.
